We had a dear friend who emigrated to Israel years ago and we lost
contact with him. He died recently and we would like to have a copy of
his obituary. We're good web searchers but cannot find an English copy
on the web. What to do? We're willing to pay for a translation if it
only appears in Hebrew. We don't want suggestions or "try this, go
there"; need definite, correct, and specific answer.

For a specific answer, wny not provide us with specific information?
If you let us know your friend's name, we can search for an obituary
item.

Otherwise, the best we can do is offer general searching guidelines,
with no guarantee you'll get a "hit".

Thank you.

Yes, you are right. His name is Elliott Herbert Birnbaum and he was
both an Israeli citizen and an American citizen. He had made Aliyah in
1975 and worked at Ben Gurion Univ. of the Negev - he worked at the
Sede Boqer campus south of Be'er Sheva. He died Aug. 7, 2004. This
date we know from the bgu.ac.il website at the university.
