Everytime I log onto hotmail it defaults to "about:blank" how do I
stop this and access my e-mail?

Seems like a case of hosts file hijacking to me.

Open up "%windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" in Notepad.  Clarify by
posting the contents here.
