If you have an idea when the IPO was, it will speed a researcher's
work.  I looked for it the other day and couldn't find the IPO date in
about 30 minutes of work -- but if you know the year it would speed
the process.

Thanks for this update.  I don't know the year of the IPO - only that
it was probably in the 1960s or later.  I believe the bank was simply
Rochester Savings Bank at the time, and that the merger with Community
Savings Bank (to make Rochester Community Saving Bank)didn't come
until later, but I could be wrong about that.

I believe Rochester Savings Bank and Community Savings Bank merged in
1983.  Approx 1984 Rochester Community Savings Bank became a stock
company, IPO price, I believe was 13.62/share.  In 1/1/97 bought or
something by Charter One with an exchange factor of .910.  Meaning
that 100 shares of RCSB became 91 shares of Charter One.  Then there
were stock dividends of 5% on 11/4/97, 9/30/98, 9/30/99, 9/30/2000,
9/12/2001, 9/11/2002.  Also a 2:1 stock split on 5/2/98

Actually, I used to work at RCSB and have an initial stock offering
circular encased in plexiglass. The initial price was $14.00 per share
and it was offered on April 22, 1986. 6,232,589 shares were made
available at that time.
