In November 1944, Kurt Jahnke's secretary Carl Marcus (or Karl Markus) crossed the Allied lines as Jahnke's emissary with a message for (Lord) Robert Vansittart, a senior British mandarin. Jahnke had some ideas for helping the Allies spread disruption in Germany and for organising the peace. He said that one of his supporters was Professor Emge of the Nietzsche Archiv. Who was Professor Emge and why was his name worth bandying around? | |
