I'm looking for information on prom/formal dances for couples that have
already graduated from highschool and college. My primary interest
would be dances that are in the chicagoland area, but would also be
interested in info for dances in California. I don't want to be a
chaperon, but rather actually have a date and attend the dance as a
participant. I am 24, and so is my date, so any dances that have a 21
age limit is fine. For the dances in California I would like
locations that are within a reasonable driving distance
from one of the major airports as I would have to fly in and drive to
the dance. Thanks in advance for your help.

...if for some reason there is absolutely nothing within my two
specified geographic ares of interest I would be interested in hearing
of other options. Thanks again.

What kind of dances are you looking for?
Hip-Hop, Swing, Ballroom, Country... or _________?
UCLA have a fundraiser dance called Dance Marathon to raise money for
kids with AIDS. It's not like a prom at all.

Ballroom dancing is usually easy to find in the community activities centers.

Other prom like events I can think of are at weddings, convocation
dinners of major companies, and the like. If you have enough friends,
you may hire a DJ and create your own prom.
