Try following the guidance on the following page. Another person
experienced a similar problem and obtained suggestions on settings to
check and so forth

If nothing works, then it's possible you or your recipients' computers
are experiencing this due to automatic security updates. Without
knowing whether you are all on the same network, at work for example,
I can't say for certain. But it would happen like this:

Windows XP Service Pack 2 includes some security updates that disable
"active content" which includes images embedded in HTML in email.

see: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sp2/ieoeoverview.mspx

If you have XP, then right click on the My Computer icon on the
desktop and choose Properties. The General tab tells you the service
pack you currently have installed.

see: http://www.microsoft.com/security/bulletins/version.mspx

Users of XP that have Windows Update set to automatic (look at
Automatic Updates in the Control Panel) will find one day that XP has
automatically upgraded to Service Pack 2. This can be temporarily
blocked but only for so long.

see: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/maintain/sp2aumng.mspx

For other Windows versions, it is possible that Windows Update
installed a Hotfix that is causing this. A Hotfix is a temporary
update/upgrade to get you by until you get a newer version, in this
case, of Windows.
