I recently got a ticket in Brooklyn for public urination. I am trying
to avoid taking time of work and wasting four hours to plead guilty
and pay a fine. So I am wondering is there a way to do so. In addition
my ticket wasn't signed by me and is very hard to read. I want to
confirm the day I am supposed to appear at the court house, is there a
way to do so on-line? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Josh

HI Josh,

I don't know if you have something similar in the U.S. but in the
State of Queensland, Australia for what are classed "Simple Offences"
an offender can goto their Local Court & sign a "Plea Guilty" Form.
This Form is presented to the Magistrate on the day of the hearing &
he/she will decide how to handle the matter. The offender is usually
notified by mail as to the result.

Kind regards
Ross (Australia)

In Canada they are called Summary Offences,if you're going to plead
guilty you won't have to go to court, just pay the fine.If you want to
plead not guilty,do so the officer probably won't bother coming to
court.

I would give them a call and ask. Below I have included some links to
Brooklyn police and courts. One of them should be able to guide you
in the right direction.

Or if you can find a number on the ticket, just call that number.
