Well, there are an infinite number of ways of doing this... In the end
you'll have to just figure out what works for you.

The tricky part is getting over the top. Whatever you do... don't
stradle it. Better to uncerimoniously fall onto the other side than to
get stuck at the top with pointy chain link fence ends stuck in your
pants crotch. Trust me, I know!

Two hands on top. Both feet over at the same time.

Have you never seen cops?

You put your right foot in, you pull your right foot out....

Guys, come on.

I can grab and jump a fence easily. The test calls for scaling a
chain link fence with only your hands and feet-no "grab and twist"
jumping... can you do that? If so, I'm looking for best techniques
that make the task FAST. And NO mistakes.

It is not just to do it. It to do it the way I'm being judged...and
under the required time.

Scaling a chain link fence: Based on horrible experience.

I'll assume this is a fairly high fence.

ACCENT:

Your body must be splayed BECAUSE a fence climbs better when you are
pushing on it diagonally. Use your hands to do the primary pulling,
and your feet to hold you while you climb at the angle. And don't jump
onto the fence, because you could misjudge and hurt yourself.

OVER THE TOP:

It's hard to explain in words, but I'll try. As you reach the top, you
your strong arm to grab onto the top bar. Using your two hands, propel
your legs up til you are horizonal. Next out one leg over, then the
other, pivioting around on your hands.

DOWNWARDS:

Climb down with only your hands to your feet are ready for impact and
won't get stuck in the fence.

Good luck.
