I need research done to organize demographical data on the Mexican
states of Yucatan
and Quintana Roo located on the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. The
demographics I?m interested in are: population and increase for last
ten years, total number of homes or condos, number of homes or condos
rented out (vacation rentals) , population of non-Mexicans who have
their primary and/or second home
here (ex-pats) and percentage increase and number of
non-Mexican migration, number of Mexican nationals who own a second
home here and # of households, total number of time shares (units)and
percentage increases along with the population that have ownership in
a timeshare. I?d also like the total number of hotel rooms,
restaurants,
retail establishments and the percentage increase last five years.
Tourist numbers are not real important because cruise ships will skew
the pop numbers, however, I?d like to about any future hotel, resort,
condo or housing developments along with their size. I?d like the
above categories broken down as best you can for the following cities
and/or areas:

1.	Cancun
2.	Playa del Carmen
3.	Akumal
4.	Tulum
5.	Placer
6.	Majahual
7.	Xcalak

It may be easier to conduct you searches using the geographical area,
for instance: the coast from Xcalak (the southern most tip) to Placer
is known as the Costa Maya. The coast from Tulum to Cancun is the
Riviera Maya.

Bottom line is that I?m trying to get an understanding on the current
population and future growth of this region of Mexico in terms of
commercial development and residences?who owns them and how the
property is used,ie. HOW MANY PEOPLE LIVE HERE FULL TIME OR PART TIME?
I?d like to eventually get data (cost and quantity
and rate of increase) on the purchase of raw land for commercial and
residential purposes. This is considered the last frontier for Mexico
tourism development, especially along the Costa Maya, and the
government is realy trying to manage the development so it doesn?t
become another Cancun. Note: I?m more interested in the region from
Playa del Carmen south to Xcalak. There is a bio-reserve area that
cuts this part of the coast line in half.

Many thanks in advance!

Greg
