Question ID: 475773
Can you please compare and contrast the "free plan" of Le Corbusier's
Villa Stein and the "Barcelon Pavilion" by Mies Van der Rohe,
especially when they are being compare with the "New College residence
hall" of University of Toronto at Spadina Avenue and Wilcocks
completed by the Montreal firm Saucier + Perotte Architects.
Here are the issues that I am particularily interested in:
-relation of enclosure ( glass) to structure ( columns solid walls)
-relation of enclosed rooms to open space
-relation of interior to exterior
-pattern of movement implied by organization of elements
-perceptual characteristics of materials

If you can't find the information that I need for the New Collage
residence, then just compare and contrast the above issues with the
Villa Stein and Barcelona Pavilion.
