KERNEL32.DLL is one of your Windows system files. It is
unlikely that this error is related to you removing the
files installed by your earlier version (if KERNEL32.DLL
had been removed you'd have MANY more problems). Rather,
the installation program is expecting Windows to do
something it doesn't.
The only suggestions I can offer at this point are (in
suggested order to try):
1. Check the system requirements of the software and
make sure you have the required version of Windows. If
not, you're pretty much stuck; you'll probably have to
upgrade Windows to use the software.
2. Reinstall Windows. (You knew that was going to be in
the list somewhere, didn't you?) It may be that the DLL
has become corrupted.
3. Check for any updates to your version of Windows.
Unlikely to help a great deal, but you never know.
4. Check your Windows installation settings - you may
need to add language support features. Even less
likely to work, but worth a try at this point.
5. Contact Adobe. It may just be an error in their
installer. In any case, it's an issue for their
technical support once you've done what you can from
your end. |
