I am opening a nostalgic baseball themed sandwich shop/deli.
I want a word document with at least 1000 different baseball
words/terms with definitions that would be suitable for naming menu
items.

Sounds like a good idea.

You could probably make pretty good use of the online baseball dictionary at:

http://www.enlexica.com/sp/bb/

For every baseball "concept" that you select, you'll get a slew of
terms and definitions.

For instance, if you select "Pitches", you wind up at:

http://www.enlexica.com/sp/bb/000EE.html

and then select, e.g., Fastballs (off on the right), which takes you you to:

http://www.enlexica.com/sp/bb/000EA.html

which offers a few dozen fastball terms such as:

across-the-seam fastball

blazer

cannon ball

cheese

dead red

four-seam fastball

hard one

high cheese

hummer

old number one

radio ball

rising fastball

...and so on.

I'm sure you get the picture.

Does this sort of resource meet your needs?

Let me know.
