First off, sence Mannatech is a MLM (Multi. Level Marketer), I'd be quite comfortable saying that anything they are selling isn't worth the bottle it came in. Secondly, http://www.ncahf.org/articles/j-n/mannatech.html http://www.quackwatch.org/search/webglimpse.cgi?ID=1&query=mannatech http://www.masmith.inspired.net.au/docs/mannatec.htm |

I think we need a little more qualified and scientific answer than "because its an MLM". There are many scientific verifiable reports as well as testimonies. Visit http://www.mannapages.com/scotirish |

repotsirhc-ga, No one can legally make a health claim on a nutritional product. It's against the law. It's a weakness of the FDA's system, not a weakness of Mannatech's products. The only way you're going to answer that question with any certainty is to try the products for atleast 3 months. They are safe and non-toxic. I've personally had several remarkable results recomending them to family members and friends. I won't post my email address here, but if you want to contact someone with experience using these products you can contact me through my website at http://glycocare.myglycostore.com Best wishes, Joe |

anotherbrian-ga, Good morning! Those sites you listed are not conclusive in any way. There are many much more credible experts than your articlers that are worth considering. The real experts in this industry are people like... Dr John Axford recently from The Royal Society of Medicine Dr Ben Carson with Johns Hopkins Dr John Rawlings with the US patent Office (whom I know personally) who's wife no longer seems to have Lupus. These are men of indisputeable reputation, and they squarely back up this technology and it's science. Best wishes to all, Joe |

The products in question are very controversial. The pricipals of the company have a dubious past record, as you will find if you do your homework on this. The science behind it is also controversial, but there may be something to it. I think more research and trials are needed before we can say one way or the other. There is certainly nothing very harmful about it, assuming the product is what it purports to be. An Australian doctor has prepared a recipe: http://www.askdrbird.com/cfs/glyconutrients.htm that is simple to prepare and would most likely be much less expensive and give the same benefits. |

I am concerned about the research irregularities I just read about but I plan to continue taking Ambrotose. Most prescription drugs have information about very serious (possible) side effects because they are toxix to the human body. I was taking Imitrex for migraines and OTC sinus medicine to keep from getting a migraine. I have stopped taking both and have had no migraines since starting on the Mannatech product. I prefer a questionable product that works than a known toxic product that sometimes stops my headache and will probably ruin my liver. |

Get on Ambrotose, and AO, and find out for yourself - It's food, pal - simple sugars (monosaccharides) in a gum base. That will tell you what you need to know. |

this Mannatech thread that won't die

How can one tell the difference between a posted comment and a paid researcher's comments? Seems to me the $25 was "used up" some time back! How long can the thread last? |

This is of concern to me. My brother and his wife use and sell Mannatech, they have tried to sign me up While I love them both, often I have found, they make poor choices on such things. I hope more responses come forth on this topic Thanks to all |

I would use this product with a bit of caution. I have a severe digestive disorder and the product made me violently ill very quickly, to the point that I was almost hospitalized. The lady who sold me the stuff my "sponser" told me to go against all medical advice and continue to use the product and to use it at a much higher dose. Needless to say, I am not listining to this woman who has NO medical education whatsoever. If I continue to use it and listen to this PSYCO I'll end up dead. She was willing to sacrifice an innocent stranger for monetary gain. I'm sure there are people who can use it and it will help them. I'm sure there's plenty of honest caring people out there selling the stuff, but don't be blind. Listen to your body, and don't have anyone tell you otherwise. Plus I spent $200 on the stuff and I can't return any of it. They tried to convince me to spend at least $1,200 so I can get better "bonuses" and I should tell all my friends to try it because it WILL work for me. I'm so glad I did not waste my money. |

"Detoxing" is your body purging of all the toxins within your body's system. That's normal with any type of supplement taken. It has to force out the bad before the good can work! I had flu like symtoms for a whopping day when I first started the product. Well, I'm alive and feeling great! I'm sure if the young lady who claims she nearly "died" would have continued taking the product she would have been perfectly fine! IT'S A NON-TOXIC NATURAL PRODUCT!!!!! I think you should give a true try! |

I paid $389 a month ago for this stuff, now I have extremely elevated liver functions. Of course they only tell me that it is FOOD and the reprensentative says she understands 'she too had elev. liver enyzymes due to an overdose by her doctor with medications'. I am sure she is blaming medications but unfortunately I have not changed anything in about a year and a half. I have some product for sale if anyone wants it. I am feeling pretty stupid at the moment. |
