Perhaps another researcher wants to do the digging on this one. I'd start with Parker County Clerk of Courts Jeane Brunson at (817) 594-1632. It appears they handle probate cases. |

A search for the name "Edwards, Monte R" will provide some useful information here: http://ssdi.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/ssdi.cgi |

I forgot to mention that the Social Security Death Index shows that Mr. Edwards date of birth is July 2, 1930. If the Clerk of Courts phone number you were given is inactive or doesn't work, please mention this so that an alternate number can be found for you. SINCERELY, 4keith-ga |

I am the only child, he never remarried. If there is a will or life ins. I am or should be his only heir. I will give 10% of whatever the estate is worth to the person who helps. I will pay the $30.00, for the questions I asked. |

The only way to be certain if your father had a will is to (a) obtain a copy, or (b) find court records indicating that his estate was probated. If a person with a will dies, but the will cannot be found or is concealed from the courts, the person's estate is treated as if he died intestate (that is, without a will). |
