My grandparents were born in Greece. One in Yedipere, one in Doksat. I think these are small villages close to Drama, a city in northern part of Greece. I don`t know the spellings of these villages in Greek. I wrote them down in Turkish. I need detailed information about these two villages. The location, people etc... Because I want to go there to search my ancestors. thank you in advance... |

Here are two villages that match. The first is Yedi Pere (I can't type the accents over the 'e'), and Dospat (accept over the 'a'). I believe these must be the villages not only because they sound alike, but also because of the latitude and longitude vs. each other and vs. Dramia (no Drama was listed) latitude/longitude coordinates are: Yedi Pere, 41,24 Dospat, 41, 23 Dramia, 35, 24 Here is the source web site. You can click on each town for a map, though no a great one. With the names, I'd think a good Greek map should get you there. Enjoy your voyage! http://www.calle.com/world/greece/ search strategy: straight to the web site; I was familiar with it |
