This question is in regards to improving the visitor experience for the website www.superiortitanium.com. Recently we have added a left navigation bar as was suggested. We have a wide range of titanium products ranging from tension set titanium rings, titanium money clips, titanium guitar picks, etc and we want to have each visitor very clearly aware of the selection we offer, but not overload them with too many options or make it ackward to navigate. Ideally, our site should load quickly and provide a clear overview of what we offer. Of course purchasing our products should be fast and easy to do. The answer we are looking for would be an objective view of our site listing the good points and the points that need to be improved on. Thanks, Dan |

dan, Look through your site again, and I must say the navigation job you did was a good improvement. Here are my suggestions for even better viewer experience. First, your home page should be less of a single item sales page. This is the main page visitors are likely to come into your site on and in case they are looking for one of your other products and not the money clip- you need to be able to reference all your products. I would turn this main page into a "about us and our many products" page, possibly with about a paragraph of keywords and information at the top- right of your navigation, and then images of all of your products tabled nicely below. making the images clickible will increase ease of navigation. This allows visitors to learn a bit about the company and quickly reference whether they have reached the right site. Ease them into a sales page. Also, I would hide the table borders <table border="0" summery=" product infromation here"> will do the job. And inside the tables, center align the text above the images to give it a less boxed in feeling. Without being asked I looked into your source coding to check how you had formatted things, in doing this there are some issues with your coding you may want to clean up. I ran it through a html validator which you can see it here the results: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.superiortitanium.com%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=%28detect+automatically%29&ss=1&outline=1&sp=1&noatt=1&No200=1&verbose=1 Also you have to <head> tags, the second should be removed along with the ending </head> tag. Hope this helps! lru |

Just been having a look at your site. I love the products you have but the presentation of the website felt more like a personal informational website rather that a store. I think its crucial that any visitor knows this is a store and that they are going to get anything they buy from this store in a 'professional' manner. If you are able to overhaul the entire site, something like www.oscommerce.com is free, and would be suitable in my view. It would be worth it in the long run as people are likely being put off from buying off your site in its current format. |
