Many private schools and colleges offer forms of tuition protection
insurance that is designed to provide refunds to the parents if their
child is unable to complete the school year for various reasons. I
know that in the vacation industry, trip cancellation insurance is
common and that it is common for the travel company to receive a
portion of the premiums that are paid by the traveler to the insurance
agency. My question is this: Are similar arrangements available to
schools - where they would receive a fee or commission for promoting
tuition insurance to their families. If so, from what insurance
company?
