Question ID: 476729
I am looking for manufacturers in IRELAND of Irish Pottery and ceramics.

I am lookng to find manufacturers who can produce volume ( two - three
thousand pieces per month minimum) of different items.

The look we are trying to acheive is similar to the look of Nicolas
Mosse Pottery ( Nicolas Mosse is not interested in growing his
business).

We are looking for casserole dishes with and without lids, mugs,
plates, bowls, decorative vases, salt and pepper shakers, Pitchers and
more.

It should all be hand painted.

The pottery or ceramics must be oven safe, microwave safe, able to go
into the freezer and must be able to pass FDA requirements in the US (
it should preferably pass proposition 65 as well).

I am looking to find at least 10 different factories in order to
qualify as an answer to this question. I would need the names,
addresses, phone #'s and preferably email addresses and websites

If you find less than that I would be willing to post another question
at a lesser dollar figure

Hello almo7091-ga,

It will be a tough search to locate 10 factories to meet your
criteria. Since you suggested that a partial answer will also help,
I?m providing you with a list of about a dozen Irish pottery
artists/manufacturers that might be appropriate. It is difficult to
say whether all of them would have the capacity to produce the volume
of products you?re looking for. I don?t know if they meet your
comparison to Nicholas Mosse requirement in their styles. I suggest
that you review the links I?ve found and tell me how many of them are
suitable and whether you will accept this information as the answer. I
look forward to your clarification.

One of the most famous names of Irish pottery both here and
internationally, Nicholas Mosse runs his business independently of the
systems discussed above and at present he employs about a hundred
people.

***** This is an interesting article about Irish pottery and the
status of Nicholas Mosse in the industry.

***** This site provides about three dozen artists/manufacturers that
offer a variety of ceramic and pottery products. Below I?ve selected
all that look like they might be suitable for your needs. Some may not
have the production capacity. You didn?t make clear exactly what you
mean by ?similar to the look of Nicolas Mosse Pottery? so the styles
may not be what you?re looking for.

Hello again almo7091-ga,

Thank you for your clarification. I hope that some of the pottery
makers will be able to fill your needs. I?m surprised at how difficult
it is to find industry information about Irish pottery manufacturers.
I?ve collected a few more links that might be of interest. I
especially suggest that you contact the Crafts Council of Ireland and
CraftIreland since these organizations are dedicated to promoting
Irish crafts makers.

Since you feel that my clarification has already provided you
information that somewhat satisfies your question, I suggest that you
change the price of the question to $100 and I will post my answer in
the Answer box. Do not rate the question until you?ve followed through
with the resources I?ve furnished. If you feel that the information
you get fulfills your original expectations, you can then rate my
answer and provide an additional payment as a tip. Below I'm giving
you links for the instructions on how to implement these suggestions.

Thank you for getting back to me. I hope that you will find an
appropriate partner for your venture using the information I?ve
furnished.

Looking forward to your go-ahead to post my answer.

6. How do I tip my Researcher?
When you rate your answer, you can also tip the researcher who
provided it. Just enter an amount between $1 - $100 in the tip box

It is difficult to rate this ansswer as the question itself was very
vague and there do not seem to be many viable correct answers.
However, the research that was done although not providing the desired
effect was professional and accurate and done speedily

There is another new site which provides suppliers at www.irishcraftsdirectory.com
While it lists these suppliers as a shop, it maybe a useful source such as
www.irsihcraftsdirectory.com/bandonpottery which is based in Cork

Hope this is of some help
