Are there any statistics on traffic tickets per vehicle type? I believe there's a corrlelation between the TV commercials showing drivers really pushing the vehicle, and purchasers of those vehicles emulating the commercials. |

Assuming you find numbers that are consistant with your theory, how are you going to prove that a higher number of tickets is not due to the image of the car influencing the police officer's decision to pull someone over? They watch the same TV commercials as the driver, and writing tickets is completely under their own discretion. You would need speed data for cars that were not ticketed in the same time frame and areas in order to make a legitimate analysis. |

You make a good point. I'm sure the commercials affect the police response too. I still would find the statistics very interesting (if they are available) |

I have heard that the color of a vehicle plays a significant factor in getting a ticket- with red being the most ticketed color. Not exactly what you were looking for- but definitely a factor in getting a ticket- maybe more than even vehicle type. |
