I have been suffering with sepsis in the perineum (complex anal
fistula/sinus) for a long time (3 years) and really need help ASAP, by
a top doctor or surgeon, who has a lot of experience with this
particular problem. I have already had several operations by 'experts
in this field' but I am still sick, and frankly I have no confidence
in these doctors - they all claim to be experts! I live in London UK,
but I am prepared to travel, if I can be assured the best care in the
world for this problem. I cannot be the first person with this problem
and must be able to get better.

I highly recommend Dr. Ian Lavery, of the Cleveland Clinic:

Several years ago I suffered from a complex medical problem which,
among other things, involved many fistulas and abscesses. Other
colorectal surgeons had failed to help me, but Dr. Lavery and his team
saved my life. The Cleveland Clinic is hundreds of miles from my home,
but it was well worth the trip.

You might find some helpful information at this site:

It's well worth sifting through all the information because there are
so many varying and sometimes contradictory experiences and opinions.
It's also reassuring to learn that many others have 'been there, done
that'.

Plus, make sure you're eating properly. I don't mean just things like
fibre (although, of course that's important), remember that if your
body and its systems are properly nourished then your body will be
better able to heal.

In conjunction with the specialised care for your painful condition,
consider going to a naturopath or dietitian or health care
professional who will be able to ensure that you are getting all the
nutrients and water your body needs to fight this. I personally swear
by Vit C and B to help my body heal post-op, plus I increase my water
intake (fresh, clean H2O with nothing added) to 3 litres a day. I
realise many people don't have any faith in vitamins, and if this is
the case with you, then simply try and eat the most healthy,
nourishing food you can.

Salt baths-in-a-bucket, several times a day for at least 10 mins
duration are also enormously helpful.

Very best wishes for a good outcome to this terribly distressing and
painful condition. Be reassured that people do recover completely from
this.
