I cannot download updates for my computer which is 3 years old and has windows xp. it simply freezes up and i can't even close the program. control alternate delete tells me this program is not responding. what to do? Mike |

What are your computer specs? You may not have enough ram or it may be a different problem depending. What I can say as of now is to crtl+alt+delete and shut down anything and everything that you don't need running and see if that will work for you. A note of caution create a restore point before updating your systems just incase you have any conflicts that way you can revert your hdd back to a previous day. |

If you have had windows xp for 3 years, I would reformate the HD and do a clean installation. |
