I cannot download updates for my computer which is 3 years old and has
windows xp. it simply freezes up and i can't even close the program.
control alternate delete tells me this program is not responding. what
to do? Mike

What are your computer specs? You may not have enough ram or it may be
a different problem depending. What I can say as of now is to
crtl+alt+delete and shut down anything and everything that you don't
need running and see if that will work for you. A note of caution
create a restore point before updating your systems just incase you
have any conflicts that way you can revert your hdd back to a previous
day.

If you have had windows xp for 3 years, I would reformate the HD and
do a clean installation.
