Hello,

I'm happy to report that Bob Gain is still alive. As of September 12,
2004, he lived in Timberlake, Ohio. After retiring from the NFL, he
sold trucks.

Source: "Where Are They Now?" Cleveland Plain Dealer, 12 Sept. 2004,
http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf?/browns/more/s12where.html.

There's been no obituary for him yet, so we can assume he is still alive.

I hope this answer meets your needs. If not, please request clarification.

I Ran into Bob Gain Yesterday @ the Browns Training Camp and got his
signature on a football. Along with Bob, there was Jaimey Caleb, Dick
Ambrosh and Tom Cousineau. As of 7/31/05 He is still Kicking. I
asked him about his football career... I specifically asked if there
was anything he would go back and change, He said he would have asked
for more money and he would have been on top of the pile more often
then at the bottom. :)
