Is drinking red wine harmful if you are diabetic. Is it worse or
better than spirits like Whisky ,vodka etc.

That depends on the sugar and alcohol content of the particular wine.
By the way:

the antioxidants in red wine have been isolated and put in pill form.

the other benefit is directly related to the alcohol itself.
