Hello.

The New Jersey-born composer was George Antheil (1900-1959).
See Antheil.org:
http://www.antheil.org/george.html

The movie was "Who'll Stop the Rain" (1978), featuring Anthony Zerbe
as a character named "Antheil."

------------
search strategy:
google: "new jersey born composer"
imdb.com, characters: antheil

I hope this helps.

Hello,

Thank you for the answer, although I knew this answer, just confused
with the actor name or the movie character name. Is it the same last
name or just a nickname? What is his first name?

The actor's name is Anthony Zerbe.

The character is simply referred to "Antheil." It's probably a last
name, but no other name is specified.

"Unfortunately, Antheil (Anthony Zerbe), a corrupt federal drug
enforcement agent, has"

"...going on the run from the henchmen of drugs baron Antheil (Anthony Zerbe)."

I notice that you've asked several other questions today. I would
strongly urge you to divulge in advance not only all details that you
already know but also any additional details that you think you'll be
needing.

Anyway, your original question simply stated, "...Name the film and the composer."

Again...

The film: "Who'll Stop the Rain" (1978)

The composer: George Antheil (1900-1959)

Thank you for the tip, and I'm glad that you "accept" the answer.
There is no chance at all that some other '70s crime drama exists with
some other villain named after some other avante-garde, New
Jersey-born conductor. If Antheil is the wrong answer, I give you
back the four bucks... and eat my hat.
