DAUGHTER HAS MARRIED A MAN FROM URAQUAY. I BELIEVE HIS VISA HAS
EXPEIRED SO HE HAS TO STAY HERE.... I BELEIVE HE CANNOT TRAVEL BACK TO
HIS HOME COUNTRY OF URAGUAY WITHOUT BEING KEPT IN THAT COUNTRY. IS IT
A GOOD IDEA FOR DAUGHTER TO TRAVEL TO URAQUAY TO VISIT NEW IN-LAWS
WITHOUT HIM? WILL THEY DISCOVER HER TO BE THE WIFE OF A "DISSIDENT"
OR "DEFECTOR" AND KEEP HER ? I AM CONFUSED ABOUT HOW THIS SYSTEM
WORKS AND AM AFRAID FOR MY DAUGHTER TO TRAVEL THERE.
DO YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION ON THIS OR SOME OTHER SOURCE THAT YOU CAN
RECOMMEND. ? THANK YOU VERY MUCH
LINDA BAILEY

Uruguay is a free country, so I would doubt your son-in-law would be
considered a "dissident" or "defector."
