I am looking for the name and author of a short story that I read when I was in college. I believe the story was part of an anthology that would have been used in a literature class in the mid-nineties. However, it could have been a story that was placed in a self-copied packet made by the professor and sold through the local copy shop. I can only remember a few identifying details about the story. * The story centered around a teenaged boy or maybe he was in his early twenties. * I believe it began with him lying around in his room listening to a baseball game on the radio. * He takes a long walk (during the night, I believe) to sort out an important question (or something like that). I also think that it was very hot during the night he took his walk. * I believe it may have taken place in New York City. I really liked this story, and I want to read it again. Can anyone help me figure out the title and author of this story? |
