I have a friend who was born in Germany,is adopted and now lives in
Canada.How can I find some information for him on his adoption?

The competent German authorities will give this information to anyone
but the adopted person, so he would have to inquire in person. Also,
your friend will need to know in what Bundesland (federal state) of
Germany the adoption was done. Then, he can inquire with the competent
Central Adoption Office (Zentrale Adoptionsstelle) of the respective
Landesjugendamt (Authority of Youth Affairs).
