Question ID: 478715
I have a Treo 650 from Sprint. I use an SBS2003 Server with Exchange.
I use a Mergic VPN on the Treo. I am able to get email to my Treo
using IMAP, but when I try to establish an Active Sync account I get
an interupt message which reads as follows:

SUCCESS --- ACCESSED SERVER BUT INCORRECT VERSION.

Sprint is absolutely no help as they say they only support Sprint
email. VersaMail won't help because I didn't buy anything from them.

If I am to correct the problem I need to know WHAT SYSTEM the error
message refers to --- Exchange Server? Treo? VersaMail? What?

My Treo is using VersaMail 3.0 and our exchange server is fully
patched as of today.

My objective here is to get my Treo to sync email (etc) using an
Active Sync account. If there is written answer that solves my problem
that's great. If we need a telephone walk through I am willing to
double the fee upon successful implementation.

Thanks.

If you're using ActiveSync & MS Exchange, why are you setting up an
IMAP connection vs. a connection to the server via ActiveSync? You're
kind of defeating the purpose of directly connecting to the server...

Sorry --- I am using IMAP only because AS won't work!! So I KNOW I'm
hitting the server and being authenticated, etc. Once I get an AS
account established I'd obviously blow away the "stop-gap" IMAP
account. Does that make sense?
