I am building a website with public domain images from WWII. I need
someone to help find links to resources that have public domain images
from the German military during WWII. Thanks. I don't speak German, so
if you can help find straight links to the images and provide proof
that they are in the public domain, please let me know. Thanks.

Some pretty fantastic public-domain pictures here:

http://www.archives.gov/research_room/research_topics/world_war_2_photos/world_war_2_photos.html#germany

from a US point of view, but many of them in Germany.

Does that help?

Hello, i am from Germany and i can help you. Check out Wikimedia
Commons. for example

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/World_War_II#Other
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:National_Socialism
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:German_history

All pictures there are free for use. even commercial use. Still check
the according licence on each image page for detailed information,
though.

Addiontioannly you can check:
http://www.fdrlibrary.marist.edu/photos.html - Thousands of on-line,
copyright free photographs of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, The
Great Depression and the New Deal, and World War II.

And http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_domain_image_resources#Specific_periods
which lists more image source for public domain images
And the according page on the german wikipedia
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_Diskussion:Public-Domain-Bilderquellen

Contact me if you need help translating or that info was not enough yet.

skunkertx-ga,

Nice link you posted...I wasn't aware of that site.

Their information on public-domain is here:

http://www.ww2incolor.com/content/view/16/29/

In a nutshell, most of the pix ARE in the public domain, but a few may
not be, and it's hard to tell which is which.
