I am moving to Michigan soon. I have not decided on a city yet. It can be any city in Michigan. I am looking for information on how to find demographics for any city in Michigan. Crime statistics, rent cost, cost of living, population density, population cross section, etc... I checked out homefair.com, but I will need to fill out a form for each city to get the information e-mailed to me. Any other options? |

http://houseandhome.msn.com/pickaplace/comparecities.aspx At this web-based application, you can compare many of those details between most cities in the United States. I've found it quite helpful in the past. It even calculates equivalent incomes. It only lets you compare two cities at a time, unfortunately. There are also other great resources that you might find useful in the general vicinity of that site too, so look around. Hope it helps. |

Mychirosite: Wonderful state. I like the western half, where you have both Lake Michigan and numerous inland lakes. Here's a site for you: http://www.city-data.com/ An excellent Google search strategy is to enter the following, then click on the "Similar to" link, which brings up 30 different options: city-data.com Best regards, Omnivorous-GA |
