I am trying to find a way for Outlook task and appointment updates to
process automatically. Right now, I have to open them up in order for
them to process. I have set Outlook to mark e-mails as read after a
few seconds, but for some reason that doesn't trigger the processing.
Only opening the items does. I have played around with the processing
options in Outlook (under Options->E-Mail Options) but that doesn't do
anything either. I have found this article by Sue Mosher, which I
think addresses the problem.

I don't know much about code, so if this should actually apply, I
would like to get some more detailed info. She also talks more about
e-mail related processing and I am wondering if this code needs to be
modified for tasks and appointments. And if someone has a simpler
solution - I'd be very happy to hear that too.
