I still need more information on why I failed a drug test for methamphetamines I am not using this of any kind legal or illegal. The MRO states their is no way there had been a mistake of anykind of misinterpeting the meth found in my urine sample or any meds has been used to cause a positive result. "urine test don't lye". I have gone to my Doctors and I get the feeling that they will not even talk about the possibilty of UA can give a false Positive. I getting very fustrated and still stand by my original response not guilty. I asked for a hair sample drug testing and the MRO states thats not a choice. The only choice is to have my original urine (that is frozen) to be retested at a diffrent lab of there choice. It will cost me 200.00 and how do I know that the sealed vial has not been tampered with? My employer I am sure is catching a huge heat from above to find a person guilty with tampering with a stimulant. I understand that the others that came back positive have a prescription and that eliminates . I need a advocate to prove my innocence. Is there 100% proof that either cold medicine, kidney and uti infections or Provigil would cause this? Some one help me soon so I don't loose my nursing license. One more thing is how long can the original collected urine that is frozen stay good for. I would thing it would make my case worse if I have not seenthe vial to see if unsealed or not. Doen anyone want to challenge this questions with facts and not something someone else has already sent me? |

I, too, have tried to help: http://www.answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=478497 A problem that I don't think we can solve, though, is this: providing evidence that something *can possibly* cause a false positive does not prove that it *did* in a certain case. Dale, if I were in your position I would seek legal counsel. |

Is the MRO employed by your company or an independent lab? If it is an independent lab they will not likely have a problem with explaining exactly how their testing is done. Ask if they used both "EMIT" testing and "GC/MS." It is common to use both tests to confirm, as described by this service: http://www.integctr.com/Screening/DrugTests.asp If it is an independent lab I would think they already did it all correctly, but if it was done "in house" who knows what they do. |
