Whenever I'm watching a game, and the score is a blowout, I often
wonder if a comeback has ever been done with that point deficit. I'd
like a list of the best basketball comeback's (pro or college). I
would like info on the biggest point deficit overcome in certain time
periods:

10 seconds
30 seconds
1 minute
5 minutes
10 minutes
Halftime
Biggest ever comeback

If a team ties and it goes to overtime, even if they lost in overtime,
I'll still accept that.

Some of these combacks might be the same game, for example the best
comeback in 30 seconds, might be the same game as the best comeback in
1 minute. I just don't know.

One of the greatest and probably impossible comeback was when Reggie
Miller scored 8 points in 16 secs to earase the Knicks 6 point lead
in the 1995 playoffs.

But just this year Tracy Mcgrady of the Houston Rockets scored 13
points in the last 35 secs. of their game against the San Antonio
Spurs.

I mean 13pts. in 35 seconds?! I couldn't even do that even if I was
alone in the basketball court! :)

The two pro games listed are the best I know of in a short time frame.
A college comeback was the Duke comeback over Maryland a couple years
ago. Duke was down 10 with a minute left and won in OT. This
happened in a game this year as well I belive but I am not sure who
was playing

The Boston Celtics were down 28 points in the 4th qtr against the New
Jersey Nest in the Eastern Conference Finals in 2001 and they came
back to win, so that's a 29 pointturnaround in 12 minutes which is the
greatest playoff comeback in NBA history and still is today.

March 2nd, 1974, Carolina vs. Duke

UNC outscores Duke 8 to 0 in the final 17 seconds to tie the game and
then won in overtime. This was before the advent of the 3 pointer.

The NCAA this past weekend gave us the biggest comebacks and truly
memorable games in history. Three out of the four games in overtime!
Not bad... not bad at all!
