According to Yahoo's Financial Glossary this is: "Broker/analyst recommendation that could mean slightly different things depending on the broker/analyst. In general, it means to increase the number of shares of a particular security over the near term, but not to liquidate other parts of the portfolio to buy a security that might skyrocket. A buy recommendation, but not an urgent buy." http://biz.yahoo.com/f/g/g.html The identical definition occurs in other on-line glossaries that come up in the Google search, eg: Bloomberg www.bloomberg.com/money/tools/bfglosa.html Campbell R. Harvey's Hypertextual Finance Glossary www.duke.edu/~charvey/Classes/wpg/glossary.htm Search strategy on Google: financial glossary ://www.google.com/search?q=financial+glossary&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&safe=off |
