I need an expert on packaging of pseudoephedrine (packaging by the
manufacturer). Sizes of pills (e.g., 30mg, 60mg, etc.), sizes of
bottles (#pills per bottle), and sizes of "cases" or "boxes" (#bottles
per case). In street parlance, what would a "double case" refer to?
How many bottles? How many pills? What size pills?

My client tells me a ?case? contains 8 bottles of 1,000 30mg pills
each, and a ?double case? means the pills are 60mg instead of 30mg.
If this is correct, a ?double case? would contain 8,000 60mg pills, or
about one pound of pure pseudoephedrine.

My client was trying to broker a deal for two or three ?double boxes?
of pseudoephedrine. He and his seller had several (intercepted) phone
calls, discussing price and amount; unclear whether they agreed on the
amount. Client called his buyer, who had some money, but not quite
enough to buy two cases. Client called seller, and suggested he give
him the third box on credit. Seller told him no credit, you?d better
have the money up front. Unclear whether they were talking about
single or double boxes at this point. Minutes later, his seller (who
clearly had other customers) was arrested with 27 pounds of loose
pills in his vehicle. Seller tells the cops all these pills were for
my client, because he is afraid to rat out the real buyer of that huge
stash; now the feds want to sentence my client for all 27 pounds of
pills ? a much longer sentence than if my client?s figures are
correct.
