I'm looking for information on UK financial services companies that
have tried to enter the US market over the last 20 years.
Specifically, I'm after information such as their entry strategy (Did
they go alone vs. partnership; did they start natioanlly vs. state by
state; how much did they localise their products etc.), what happened
after they entered (Was it a success? What was the final outcome? How
many customers did they acquire? etc.) and what lessons can be learnt
from their attempt.
I'm less after actual answers to the questions (although those are
fine) but more after reports or press articles etc. that discuss the
attempts.
I won't have internet access between 2nd Aug and 12th Aug so please
don't expect any feedback between those dates.
