Hi.

I am looking for one or more URL that helps customers to buy online
("search product" engine, etc...) for themselves AND help them getting
stuff bought for them by their friends (public wish list, etc).
In the rest of the explanations, we'll call it "http://www.xxx.com".

Here is what I want from it (I want http://www.xxx.com to fullfill at
least 90% of this list) :

1°) I want that http://www.xxx.com has a "search product" engine on
the front page AND a clickable link to some help on the very same
page.

2°) I want the help link to provide a FAQ AND either (a telephone
number and/or an e-mail) in case the answers of the FAQ are not
enough.

3°) In case of "only" a telephone number, I want that there is
actually someone (a real person) answering it (no digital voice giving
pre-made answers).

4°) In case of an e-mail given, I don't want that e-mail to
auto-answer an "always the same" message saying they in fact don't
answer customers questions, except if it gives a link to an online
form for the purpose of asking questions.
I request the answerer to have tried it himself (not buy, just try to
send an e-mail to see if he gets an appropriate result).

5°) In case the e-mail gives a link to an online form, then I want
that online form to accept questions of at least up to 50 lines of
text. I also want that this online form doesn't automatically send you
an e-mail saying they in fact don't answer customers questions and
gives you just another link (or even one of the already used ones),
etc...
I request the answerer to have tried it himself (not buy, just try to
send an message using the online form to see if he gets an appropriate
result).

6°) I want http://www.xxx.com to be working with at least 4.000 shops
in at least 8 countries (ie : have contracts with them for the product
engine search and services around that). I want http://www.xxx.com to
offer ALL kind
of products (for ex : not only non tangible products, not only food,
not only books and records, etc...), but I will accept that they don't
provide classified products such as drugs, weapons, chemicals and the
like.

7°) I want that the URL search results are ALL in the same currency OR
that if more than one currency is used that it is clearly stated which
currency is used on EVERY result. For exemple, I don't want to see a
result using "$" then another also using "$" (with no further
explanations) and that they don't talk about dollars of the same
country (but I will accept that they use "euros" of different
countries as they have the same value).

8°) I want the URL to show only results where VISA cards can be used
to pay shown products OR that there would be a filter (or link to
settings) on the front page allowing to set to "show only results
allowing VISA cards".

9°) I want that URL front page to be written either in English (or
American, etc...) or French (or Canadian, etc...). Subsequent links
given after front page should either be written in any of these two
languages OR have a summary or translation in one these two languages.

10°) I want EVERY link given by http://www.xxx.com to use secure ways
to pay the products.

11°) I want to be able to store a product info (ex :"add to list") and
decide later if I buy it, or if I ask a friend to buy it for me.

12°) I want to be able to make public items of my choice ("add to wish
list") so that friends and relatives can buy it for me. It means that
http://www.xxx.com should provide an easy way to know an URL I can
give to friends. I don't want to calculate that public Wish list URL
myself, it should be given to me either on the web site on by mail,
and it should be given as an URL (this means no "text" explanation on
what that URL should look like). That public Wish list URL should be
viewable and usable by friends that didn't register (and don't want to
register) nor created an account on http://www.xxx.com.

13°) I want http://www.xxx.com to provide me the service for free. I
agree to register and give personnal informations to
http://www.xxx.com, but I want the shown products not to be more
expensive than it would be for anyone buying online from the shops
selling those products without the help of http://www.xxx.com.

14°) I want http://www.xxx.com to filter prices when displaying the
very same product. ie : if various shops are selling the same product
at different prices, I want to know it from the first link given about
that product, and not to discover it 20 pages later. I also want to be
able to choose from the different offers, and not to have to take the
cheapest.

15°) When a friend wants to buy me an item from my public wish list, I
want that the product is automatically send to me (this could use the
informations I gave to http://www.xxx.com) or at least that my friend
can choose between sending it to me or to him. I DO NOT WANT that he
have to write my personnal informations (my address, my name, etc) in
order to have it send to me, these informations have to be provided by
http://www.xxx.com as long as he clicked all the way starting from my
public wish list provided by http://www.xxx.com.

16°) I DO NOT WANT that a friend trying to buy me something can't buy
me the product because either him, or me, or both of us don't live in
the USA, unless there has been a clear statement about it when I was
seeing the product (or that I could filter to see only products sold
internationnaly). This means I don't any friend to end up with a link
given on my public wish list that would ask for a zip code or state
and that requires them to be USA-type only (of course, only if the
field is required to process)...

17°) I want that once a friend bought me any item on my public wish
list that it'd be either removed from my public wish list OR at least
clearly stated on it that someone already bought me that.

18°) I want that the price seen by me and my friends (willing to buy
me something) on http://www.xxx.com to be the price that is going to
be paid for it. It is probably interesting for the shop to talk about
the price they will receive, but I'm not interested in that
information at all, I want to know what I will pay, not what the shop
will receive in the end. This means I want to be shown the buyer's
price : this include price paid for the product + shipping + any sort
of taxes to be paid. http://www.xxx.com can provide any necessary
information on me to the shop to calculate the appropriate shipping
price and local tax fees. If for some reason the end price for a
friend depends on informations about him (where he lives, the money he
will use to pay, etc...), I will accept an approx. of the price as
long as it takes care of fully using all the informations that are
already 100% sure (ie : all my informations)

19°) I don't want that http://www.xxx.com requires that some VISA
operations should be processed via Paypal (or the like) for any
product.

20°) I want that http://www.xxx.com mainly offers "new" products (no
"second-hand" main business please).

21°) When friends buy me a product, I want a bill (or at least a bill
copy) and all guarantees on that product to be send to me (as I am
clearly the end user). I would prefer that my friends also receive a
bill as they paid for the product even if they won't use it. The bill
sent to me can state it is a gift and that I didn't actually pay it
myself. I want the bill to state that (a) I am the owner of the item
(b) my friend paid the bill.

22°) If any problem occurs with the sent product (ex : broken during
shipment, etc...) that a friend bought for me, I want to be able to do
all what has to be done to solve the problem myself with my friend not
beeing required.

23°) http://www.xxx.com can "also" provide links to online shops
without business contract with http://www.xxx.com (and thus not
meeting my above criteria), but then that type of links should be
separated from the others.

If you don't find any URL giving a 90% rating (or more) on these
questions or if you think such URL doesn't exist, please don't answer
(but feel free to comment).

Thanks.

Clarification of Question by r23sakamoto-ga on 25 Feb 2005 07:52 PST
I changed my mind and will lower my conditions : I will accept answers
with URL working with only 400+ shops in 3+ countries, and I will
accept ratings of 70% and higher.
