It's probably a broken switch in your spacebar if the other keys are working properly. You can probably pick up a used keyboard at a mom & pop computer store for < $15. Good luck! skermit-ga |

As skermit says, it?s almost definitely a faulty keyboard. Sometimes it is mechanical failure, sometimes the switch contacts, and I?ve even come across a couple where the circuit tracks have failed. They *are* fixable, but unless you know someone who would do it as a favour, it just isn?t feasible I?m afraid. I?ve only repaired a dozen or so Macs so I can?t remember, but on a PC (the more common), you can insert characters by their ASCII or ANSI code. If this can be done with a Mac, it?s a temporary workaround until you get a new keyboard. Best |

Don't bother with ANSI stuff. Just select a space, copy it and whenever you need a space, paste it. |
