What about a beamer projection showing the transformation.
I'm envisioning that the old logo is now on the building, presuming
that it is also lighted from within or silhouetted by lights on the
face of the building.
In as brief time as possible before the unveiling, replace the old
logo with the new, hidden by as large a white cloth panel as
necessary. This will create general curiousity. The cloth should be
thin enough to later let the light of the new logo shine through it.
At dusk on the evening, the beamer projects the old logo life-sized
where it once was (If this is supposed to occur 600+ feet up at the
top of the building, we may have a problem. And don't ask me if there
are beamers big enough for the job.) Anyway, after the speaches and
before the fireworks, the beamer does its thing, ending with a
projection of the new logo, life-sized and correctly aimed so that the
logo's lights can be turned on (dimmed up? as the beamer is dimmed
down?) to show and reinforce the image as the cloth panel is drawn up.
Wow!
Not wow? But maybe it gives you or someone else some thoughts, or
suggests what additional info as to size and location of the event
might elicit more practicable ideas. |
