I have not been able to locate a US Government publication on this
subject, and I haven't found a book that has "hundreds of floor
plans," but these books might be of interest to you:

"The Modern House Today," by Nick Dawe and Kenneth Powell, contains
floor plans of fifteen "streamline" houses of the 1930s, and photos of
an additional fifty houses.

"Classic Modern Homes of the Thirties: 64 Designs by Neutra, Gropius,
Breuer, Stone and Others (Modern House in America), by James Ford and
Katherine Morrow Ford, is a reprint of a book first published in 1940.
It contains photos and detailed floor plans of 62 houses.
