We need to implement the anti-script login auth. using php. This is
similiar to the letters one has to type when she subscribes to google
answers for example.

Hi,

This is a task that can be done using PHP Sessions and the function imagecreate().

You can find more about these on PHP.net. If I could bid I could write
an efficient script with tutorials on how this would work in your
circumstance.
