Hi, thank you for submitting your question to Answers.Google, I hope I
can provide the information you are seeking.
Mezzanine financing referrs to a process of combining of debt and
equity. It is used in corporate takeovers and land development.
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/m/mezzaninefinancing.asp
http://www.investorwords.com/3047/mezzanine_financing.html
It is a venture capital or big finance term, not something normally
applied to single homes.
It could be involved in financing entire real estate developments.
You will find a detailed explanation at
http://www.bofabusinesscapital.com/resources/capeyes/a10-02-124.html
There is a reference to mezzanine financing in relation to mortgages at
http://umc.lenderhost.com/index.php3?get=programs&dc=umc
and for Canadians at
http://www.xmeta.com/web/57104/business/financial-services/mortgages/regional/canada/
Google search term: Mezzanine financing
Thank you again for turning to Answers.Google for help. This is
generally something used by big businesses. |

Siliconsamurai-ga researcher thanks for your answer above but I need
a little more clarification of your answer above.
Please note that Mezzanine funding source can provide 'close
to or upto 100% financing' in the form of equity and/or debt
as indicated above so therefore I want to know that Mezzanine
funding source can provide financing to pay for "all of the
soft costs and all of the closing costs" for purchase or
acquisition of real estate property for commercial investment ??

Hi, glad to help.
Actually, you didn't ask that. Your question was merely, "what is
mezzanine financing."
Your NEW question is
" want to know that Mezzanine
funding source can provide financing to pay for "all of the
soft costs and all of the closing costs" for purchase or
acquisition of real estate property for commercial investment ??"
As for this NEW question, a mezzanine loan can include absolutely
anything since it is a business loan negotiated with the lender. It
all depends on what you can get them to include.
That is about all the information I can provide without beginning new
research on the new question.
I have no way of determining if you could personally get such a loan.
I hope you consider this a sufficient answer considering that this is
a $2 question and we are supposed to provide one or two links for a $2
question.
If you need more extensive details you might consider posting a new question.

I'm not certain but you seem to be offering me the chance to answer
another question and, if so, I certainly appreciate your giving me a
chance.
Unfortunately, I am extremely busy during the Summer months and am not
active in Google Answers at this time. I will become active again in
the late Fall.
Again, thank you for asking but I feel certain some other researcher
will be able to provide what you need.
If another researcher is following this thread and is holding back for
some reason, feel free to step in while I am busy elsewhere.

Siliconsamurai researcher please note that Pafalafa researcher had
asked me to clarify that mentioned question ID 524051 and I had
clarified that question ID but I don't know why Pafalafa researcher
has stepped back for providing the answer of that question ID. So
therefore Silicon samurai if possible for you then please the answer
of that question ID and its price is US$ 150. Siliconsamurai
researcher please note that I have made that question ID very simple
and therefore it is very easy to provide the answer of that question
ID. Siliconsamurai researcher as you have stated above that 'if
another researcher is following this thread and is holding back for
some reason, feel free to step in while I am busy elsewhere' so
therefore if possible for you then please provide the answer of that
question ID 524051. Great thanks for that help from Shoaib.

Please stop posting requests for clarification because that isn't what
you are asking.
I'm happy to clarify answers but that isn't what you are asking.
Perhaps you could post comments instead of clarification questions.
