I'm looking for a list of news articles describing situations where a
restaurant has been sued by a patron after ingesting undercooked "old"
chicken, which led to food poisoning. I'm the marketing director for a
foodservice company that specializes in delivering the freshest
chicken to restaurants and grocery stores. The chicken we deliver
typically was "on the ground pecking feed" the afternoon before our
customer receives it from us the next morning. We can do this since we
move tremendous volume, around 3-5 trailer loads per night. Our
largest competitors like Sysco and US Foodservice only move a fraction
of this volume.

Since the bacteria count on fresh chicken doubles every 4 hours,
chicken that is over 3 days old is not really fit for consumption. I
would like to write some hard-hitting sales letters to restaurant
prospects pointing out the importance of using only the freshest
chicken, and the danger of being sued by a patron who has gotten sick.

There was a famous case back in 1992 - where ABC's Prime Time Live did
an undercover story about Food Lion Stores use of rotten chicken.

But be careful how you use the info as Food Line sued ABC over the story (and won)
