Hi,

I read a poem when I was studying Russian in college, and I still
think of it often and wish I had a copy of the actual poem. Sadly, I
can't remember the author's name, and I doubt it has been translated
into English.

The premise was that Adam, still innocent not having yet eaten from
the tree of knowledge of good and evil, could dream of the death camps
and not be disturbed, since he had no knowledge of good and evil.

The poem was obviously written after world war II, and I read it in
1986 or 1987, so that narrows the publication date a bit. The author
referred to Auschwitz as Oswiecim -- its original Polish name.

I would like to know the author's name, the pulication/edition etc.
info so I can buy the book in which it is published, and quickly get a
copy of the text of the poem if possible.

Thanks,

Rick.

Dear Rick

It might be possible to trace your poem if it has been published on
the web, if you can remember a line or phrase, or even a couple of
significant words, in the original Russian. I don't think you can post
Russian characters here but perhaps you could transliterate the
Russian into English.

Kind regards

Do you remember any other words of this Russian poem?
