I intend buying a laptop for my use as a dj but I am confused on which
one to buy actually. Most forums I visit for advice say 80gb,512mb and
above 2.0ghz for specs but on going to different websites to buy, there
are many with the same specs way below 1000dollars cdn and some around
1800cdn.I intend using it to dj at parties e.t.c preferably somewhere
in canada would be nice.i.e somewhere like tigerdirect.ca seems to
have many good and cheap ones but don't know which to choose from.

The reason for the price differences is due to the other parts of the
laptop. For instance, you can have a pentium, a pentium celeron, and a
pentium centrino (now called the M processor I believe). I personally
would choose the pentium centrino because it performs well and is
meant for laptops (uses less power). Also, I imagine you are going to
need a great sound card because of the purpose of the laptop. Good
luck.

Definitly go with centrino... I like the dell latitudes.
