Soap

Soaps

Long ago, soap making was a family event. Everyone in the family would
pitch in to make huge batches of soap. Today, the product is so
inexpensive to buy that the art of the process has been nearly
forgotten except by those that manufacture them. The process, however,
is really quite simple, some still even make their own homemade
versions.

There are many different varieties of soaps, delicate facial soaps,
deodorant soaps, even bubble bath and shampoos. This will be your
business, so you can choose the line of soaps that will work for you
company. Your formulas can be the commercial grade, like you see in
the store, you can make homemade, herbal, natural soaps and forget
about chemical additives.

You can add any sort of special ingredients to soaps, including
vitamin E, A and D, baking soda and aloe vera and more. Or you can
put in cocoa butter oatmeal, milk or the desirable shea butter or a
number of other ingredients. The choice is yours, you can add one or
multiple combinations of ingredients to make the soaps your own. Just
pay special attention to what ingredients you add to your soaps and be
sure if it considered an ?Active? ingredient for a cosmetic, you label
it according to FDA regulations.

When you make soaps, there are only really three ingredients you?ll
need to make the base soap, grease, lye and water, anything else you
add to the soap will be just additives that will make it special, but
you can also sell the basic soap alone as a ?pure? soap. Meaning no
additives at all, just the basic soap.

Making soap is fairly easy, however, you should be sure to follow the
directions exactly as the chemical reaction is very important to pay
attention to. Lye is the ingredient that actually cleans the skin but
if you add it to soap in the wrong way, it could actually burn the
skin or even cause blindness. You should never ever add lye to warm
water, as it causes a chemical reaction. Follow any recipes precisely
to get the best results.

If you do not desire to work with the soap compound from scratch,
there are already premade soap bases where you just have to remelt,
pour in your own elements to remake it your own, and let it harden and
shape as you desire. These premade soaps are usually found from

The market for this product is endless. People need soap for their
bodies to keep themselves clean. There are so many varieties. What
will make your soap stand out? Why will anyone pick your soap up from
the store, rather than the other brands? This will be part of what
your innovative thinking when you start making your line or products.
Pick out what your products will stand out from and go with it.

I suggest that you cancel this question and repost this material as
eleven separate questions, one for each of the cosmetic items listed.
Gathering the kind of information that you need is going to be quite
time-consuming. To find this information for all eleven of the
products that you mention will probably be several days' work, and I
doubt that anyone will undertake such a massive project for the price
you've offered.
