Hi

If you are asking about Google Toolbar searchbar, you have to click
the Google's logo on the left and then click "Clear Search History"
option.
You can also disable saving search history, so after browser restart
it will be automatically cleared - to enter such mode, you have to
click "Options" button and clear the first selection box on the "More"
tab and click "OK".

Additional resources:

Hope that helps!
