I've recently switched from IE to Firefox. How do I email a web page to someone using Firefox, without having to save it first? Using Internet Explorer, I used to hit the Send Page button in my tool bar. And how do I set a certain webpage as my home page? |

Hi needtoknowit: I've been using Firefox myself for a few months, and recently installed the latest version (1.0.1). To answer your two questions: Q: How do I email a web page to someone using Firefox, without having to save it first? A: There currently is no way to send a page from Firefox without saving it first, like there is in IE. The best you can do at this time is send a link to the page. (from the Firefox help system) "Send Link...Opens an email composition window using your computer's default email program so you can send a message with a link to the current page. This feature is currently only available on Windows, Mac OS X and OS/2." The Send Link... item can be found in the "File" menu. See: http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=40786 http://www.codingforums.com/archive/index.php/t-49864 Q: How do I set a certain webpage as my homepage? A: Follow these steps: * Select "Tools" menu * Select "Options..." item * The "Home Page" section at the top of the resulting dialog can be used to enter a new homepage, use the page currently being viewed, or use a blank page. * Click "OK". Search Strategy - personal knowledge, plus (on Google): * firefox help * firefox send page Hope that helps! Firefox is an Open Source project, so I would suggest you contact them and let them know you want the Send Page feature in a future release. (http://www.mozilla.org/support/) websearcher |

Thanks. There was one other step in the Homepage sequence, btw. Great comment came in too. |

You may right click anywhere in the page and use the send link option to send a link. Hope this helps too. |

I'd like to point out a great feature of the new firefox. When you specify a home page it can include a whole set of tabs. I find this extremely useful since I have to log onto about a dozen services every morning and now I only have to open FireFox once. |
