I've recently switched from IE to Firefox. How do I email a web page
to someone using Firefox, without having to save it first? Using
Internet Explorer, I used to hit the Send Page button in my tool bar.

And how do I set a certain webpage as my home page?

Hi needtoknowit:

I've been using Firefox myself for a few months, and recently
installed the latest version (1.0.1).

To answer your two questions:

Q: How do I email a web page to someone using Firefox, without having
to save it first?

A: There currently is no way to send a page from Firefox without
saving it first, like there is in IE. The best you can do at this time
is send a link to the page. (from the Firefox help system) "Send
Link...Opens an email composition window using your computer's default
email program so you can send a message with a link to the current
page. This feature is currently only available on Windows, Mac OS X
and OS/2." The Send Link... item can be found in the "File" menu.

Q: How do I set a certain webpage as my homepage?

A: Follow these steps:
* Select "Tools" menu
* Select "Options..." item
* The "Home Page" section at the top of the resulting dialog can be
used to enter a new homepage, use the page currently being viewed, or
use a blank page.
* Click "OK".

Search Strategy - personal knowledge, plus (on Google):
* firefox help
* firefox send page

Hope that helps! Firefox is an Open Source project, so I would suggest
you contact them and let them know you want the Send Page feature in a
future release. (http://www.mozilla.org/support/)

Thanks. There was one other step in the Homepage sequence, btw. Great
comment came in too.

You may right click anywhere in the page and use the send link option
to send a link.
Hope this helps too.

I'd like to point out a great feature of the new firefox. When you
specify a home page it can include a whole set of tabs. I find this
extremely useful since I have to log onto about a dozen services every
morning and now I only have to open FireFox once.
