I work for a mobile phone insurance company.  I have been asked by my
boss to redesign the refunds system so its quicker and more efficient.
 Where could i find info for this which won't involve paying a
business processes company to come  up with a solution?

You will have more success if you'll pay 100+ dollars for this
question. This is not a question that can be answered in a minute or
two... it'd probably take a good researcher a weekend of work.
