Ok here's the deal,

i wish to know how do i get a mp3 or a wav or any music to play DURING
the menu screen the actual screen that you select the users on.

for example i power on my computer walk away and when i get back the
background of my favorite video game is playing waiting for me to
select a user from the Windows XP menu select screen.

Me being a lover of music would LOVE to have this ability.

I don't know of any way to do that, but I do know that you could

1) Have your computer auto-login
2) Set an mp3 player to autostart with a playlist
3) Set your screensaver to 1 minute and have it log you off after 1 minute

So then the mp3 will be playing at the login menu.

It seems that this is possible, just tried it on my computer. However,
the mp3/wav file may play in a player, and would prevent you from
accessing the user selection screen until you close the player, would
that be acceptable?

i'd have to see it in action to be able to say if it's
acceptable or not. if you'd have to close the player then other users
could change it

hmm it couldn't be hidden or something? like winamp?

still intrested in the answer

That's strange, it seems there has been some sort of data loss on this
